European hot-rolled coil prices continued to decline in mid-June due to sluggish end-user demand and pressure from competitive imports.
In Northern Europe, integrated mills offered July-delivery HRC at €610–630 per tonne ex-works or delivered, while buyer estimates ranged from €570–600 per tonne ex-works. Some bids were even lower, at €540–550 per tonne, though no confirmed trades were reported at those levels.
Italy-origin coil was offered to Germany at €620 per tonne delivered, with larger transactions closing at €600 per tonne delivered. In Central Europe, prices held steady at €600–630 per tonne ex-works, but buyers remained cautious, often quoting below €600.
In Italy, domestic offers ranged from €570–590 per tonne ex-works, with some mills reluctant to discount further. A reported sale at €555 per tonne ex-works could not be confirmed.
