European HRC prices remain flat amid muted market activity. Prices for hot-rolled coil have largely stayed unchanged due to subdued trading and cautious buyer sentiment. In Northern Europe, mills continue to offer June-July delivery HRC at €570-700 per tonne ex-works, but actual transactions have been limited. Buyers estimate the tradable market level to be around €640-660 per tonne ex-works.
In Southern Europe, offers for HRC hover around €640-660 per tonne delivered, with some transactions occurring at €620-630 per tonne ex-works. The market remains quiet as participants evaluate the impact of new US tariffs on aluminum and steel, which could influence European exports.
Despite the current stagnation, industry sources anticipate a potential price increase in the second half of the year, driven by strong order books at European mills.
