European hot-rolled coil prices fell in early June as sluggish demand and buyer hesitation continued to pressure the market. Mills in Northern Europe offered July-delivery HRC at €620-650 per tonne ex-works, while buyers estimated tradable values at €590-620 per tonne ex-works.
Italy-origin coil was offered to Germany at €630 per tonne delivered, with bids reported at €610 per tonne. Some transactions were concluded at approximately €600 per tonne delivered, reflecting ongoing price adjustments.
Market participants cite weak end-user demand, competitive import offers, and the approaching holiday season as key factors limiting price recovery.
