EMSTEEL has announced that Saeed Al Ghafri, CEO of its steel business, Emirates Steel, will step down after 19 years with the company. He will remain in his role until the end of June to ensure a smooth transition.
The company has yet to name a successor, with Emirates Steel’s Chief Operating Officer, Medhat Hashem, and Chief Commercial Officer, Michael Rion, temporarily overseeing operations and commercial activities.
Group CEO Engineer Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi expressed gratitude for Al Ghafri’s contributions, stating that his leadership has been instrumental in expanding steel operations and strengthening the company’s global presence.
EMSTEEL Group operates two divisions, Emirates Steel and Emirates Cement, both of which play a key role in meeting the growing demand for construction and manufacturing materials in the UAE and beyond.
