Egypt has initiated an antidumping investigation into imports of cold-rolled coils (CRC), hot-dipped galvanized (HDG), and pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) from Turkey and China. This action follows a petition from local producers, alleging that these imports are being dumped, harming the domestic industry. The investigation covers numerous HS codes related to these products. In the first nine months of 2024, Turkey exported 16,924 metric tons of CRC, 7,495 metric tons of HDG, and 15,029 metric tons of PPGI to Egypt, while China exported 79,780 metric tons of CRC and 37,616 metric tons of HDG.
