China's blast furnace capacity utilization has risen for the third consecutive week, reaching 84.06% among 247 steelmakers from September 13-19, according to Mysteel data. This increase is attributed to a rise in domestic steel prices, enabling more mills to achieve profitability. During this period, daily pig iron production slightly increased to 2.24 million tons, while imported iron ore consumption also rose by 0.5% to 2.77 million tons per day. However, raw material stocks declined due to limited purchases during the Mid-Autumn Festival, with total iron ore stocks falling by 0.6% year-on-year to 90.3 million tons.
