Chengdu's Xindu District has secured a major investment in lithium-titanate oxide (LTO) battery production. Hunan Zhongxuan Energy Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement to build a facility with an annual capacity of 4 GWh of LTO power batteries and 2 GWh of LTO digital batteries. The total investment for the project is estimated at 3 billion yuan.
Construction will be undertaken in three phases. The first phase will see the investment of 1 billion yuan to establish two production lines capable of producing 1 GWh of LTO power batteries annually. The following phases will mirror this structure, with each allocating 1 billion yuan for two production lines – one for power batteries and another for digital batteries.
