Brussels-based organization LESS (Low-Emission Steel Standard) has named Carmen Ostwald as its new secretary general, succeeding Martin Theuringer. Ostwald brings 17 years of experience from thyssenkrupp Steel Europe, where she most recently led business development for the bluemint low-emission steel range.
In her new role, Ostwald aims to strengthen LESS’s recognition among steel producers, end-user sectors, and policymakers. The appointment marks a strategic step in advancing the adoption of low-emission steel standards across Europe.
