According to SteelOrbis, Canadian iron ore production experienced a significant decline in September 2024, with output falling to 4,753,916 metric tonnes, a decrease of 38.8% from August and 7.2% from the previous year. Shipments also dropped by 36.2% from August, totaling 3,974,746 metric tonnes, and were down 25.9% compared to September 2023. Closing inventories at producers decreased to 8,715,520 metric tonnes in September from 9,332,427 metric tonnes in August.
