In September, Brazil exported 422,200 tonnes of slabs while importing 157,800 tonnes, compared to 465,800 tonnes and 144,400 tonnes in August, respectively. October exports are expected to match September's volume, with a decline in imports anticipated based on preliminary customs data. For the first nine months of 2024, Brazil exported 4.43 million tonnes and imported 903,500 tonnes of slabs, down from 5.24 million tonnes and 444,300 tonnes in the same period of 2023.
