Borusan Pipe, a leading Turkish steel pipe producer, has inaugurated a new service centre in Ploieşti, southern Romania. This €15 million investment, which began construction in March 2023, will focus on cutting and finishing operations for cylinder tubes, reserve tubes, and monotubes used in shock absorbers.
The facility will employ advanced technologies such as short-cutting, brushing, and in-line washing to serve the automotive supply chain. Supported by €5.83 million in state aid from the Romanian government, the centre is expected to contribute $8 million to Borusan Pipe’s turnover in the second half of the year.
This strategic move aims to enhance the company’s presence in Europe and provide greater supply chain flexibility to its clients.
