Scrap prices in the Benelux region have increased due to a weak flow of materials. European exporters’ dock prices, which started last week at €280-285 per tonne, recovered to around €300-305 per tonne. This rise is attributed to tight supply and higher price expectations from suppliers.
Despite the holidays, the flow of material remains limited, leading to higher price targets in the Turkish market. However, Turkish mills are hesitant to pay these increased prices due to insufficient steel sales. The limited supply is expected to continue, putting further pressure on prices.
