Scrap prices in the Benelux region have seen an improvement, driven by a recovery in the Turkish market. After a period of decline, prices have rebounded, with dock prices for HMS 1&2 80:20 increasing to €260-275 per tonne.
This surge is attributed to a rise in demand from Turkish mills, which had previously resisted purchasing material. The renewed activity in Turkey has led to higher collection prices in the Benelux, with expectations of further price increases in the near future.
