Befesa, a prominent provider of hazardous waste recycling services, has completed the acquisition of the remaining 50% stake in Recytech, its joint venture with Recylex S.A. in France. The transaction, valued at €40 million, marks a significant step in Befesa's strategic global growth plan and strengthens its position in the steel dust recycling market.

Recytech specializes in processing steel dust from electric arc furnaces, extracting zinc, and converting it into Waelz oxide (WOX), a valuable feedstock for electrolytic zinc production. With this acquisition, Befesa now holds full ownership of Recytech, ensuring long-term stability for its workforce and reinforcing its commitment to sustainable practices within the steel industry.
