Austria-based steelmaker Marienhütte has commissioned Danieli Technologies to upgrade the finishing area of its bar line at the Graz plant. The modernization will allow the facility to process bars up to 72 meters in length, compared to the previous limit of less than 40 meters.
The revamp includes new automation capabilities, improved processing speeds of up to 60 meters per second, and enhanced flexibility to meet evolving market demands. The project is scheduled for completion in early 2026, following a planned three-week plant shutdown for disassembly and installation.
