ASEAN import markets for rebar and wire rod are experiencing a lackluster period due to market uncertainty and slow demand, causing buyers to delay purchases. In Singapore, Malaysian rebar is quoted at around $485/tonne dap for end-March/April deliveries, while Chinese rebar is offered at $495/t cfr. The market remains cautious, awaiting the outcome of China's National People's Congress. For wire rod, Chinese Q195 grade offers for March/April shipment are stable at $465-470/t cfr in Manila, with weak local demand reported. Indonesian Dexin Steel has raised its wire rod prices to $475/t fob for April shipments.
