Argentina's crude steel production fell significantly in December, reaching 256,300 metric tons, down from 338,500 metric tons in November, according to the Argentine chamber of the steel industry, Acero Argentino (AA). This marks a 24.3% decline compared to December 2023. Hot-rolled coil (HRC) production decreased by 16.9% to 144,600 metric tons, while cold-rolled coil (CRC) production dropped by 2.9% to 89,900 metric tons. Long products saw the steepest decline at 47.5%, totaling 83,100 metric tons.
