Rainer Böse has been named chairman of the management of ArcelorMittal’s German strip mills in Bremen and Eisenhüttenstadt. Böse, 57, has held various leadership roles within the company, including serving as chief marketing officer for Northern Europe since 2017.
He succeeds Thomas Bünger, who led the mills since early 2024 and became ArcelorMittal Germany’s CEO in January. The company acknowledged Bünger’s contributions but did not clarify whether he remains in his executive role.
Böse brings extensive expertise in flat steel market conditions and international trade, positioning him to oversee strategic developments at the German sites.
