Australia-based iron ore exploration company Akora Resources has successfully completed the first phase of its maiden drilling program at the Satrokala Iron Ore Project in Madagascar. The initial drilling campaign consisted of five exploratory holes designed to test the magnetic anomalies that extend along a 10-kilometer stretch from north to south across the project area.
According to the company's announcement, the next phase of drilling will involve an additional five holes located approximately 500 meters south of the initial drill sites. This decision was made to further investigate the geology, grade, and mineralogy of the iron ore mineralization encountered in the first round of drilling, once the core samples have been fully analyzed.
Akora Resources is currently preparing for the second phase of drilling at Satrokala, which is expected to commence shortly. The company remains committed to advancing the project and unlocking the potential of this promising iron ore asset in Madagascar.
