The Arab Iron and Steel Union (AISU) recently held its second Technical Committee meeting on April 21-22, 2024, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, at the Shangri-La Hotel – Jeddah. The meeting was hosted by the Saudi Iron and Steel Company – Hadeed. During the gathering, the committee examined technical data from Arab steel companies and determined the topics to be studied in the 2023-2024 plan. The Technical Committee comprises 13 members representing 13 Arab countries, including Egypt, Algeria, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Libya, Tunisia, Morocco, Qatar, Bahrain, Iraq, and Mauritania. This meeting provided a platform for representatives from these countries to collaborate and discuss technical matters related to the iron and steel industry in the Arab region.
