Canada-based Strategic Resources Inc. has secured agreements with Singapore's Javelin Global Commodities for the supply of direct reduction (DR) grade iron ore concentrate and the sale of DR grade pellets from its project in Québec. The deal includes a $150 million working capital facility from Javelin. Under the agreements, Javelin will provide approximately 4 million metric tons of DR iron ore concentrate, while Strategic will sell up to 4 million metric tons of DR pellets annually from its planned pelletizer project at Port Saguenay, set to begin construction in 2025. Strategic is also exploring partnerships for the project's second phase, which aims to produce direct reduced iron, supporting the transition to electric arc furnaces in steel production.
