Pakistan's scrap imports rose by 15.6 percent in October, totaling 228,217 metric tons compared to September, although this marks a 4.8 percent decline year-on-year. The value of these imports reached $101.56 million, reflecting a 6.8 percent increase month-on-month but a 5.9 percent decrease year-on-year. Additionally, iron and steel imports also increased significantly, reaching 327,872 metric tons, up 22.5 percent from September and 23.2 percent from the same month last year, with a total value of $208.48 million, marking a 12.8 percent rise month-on-month and 14.3 percent year-on-year.
