Steel Consumption in Turkey Decreases by 4.2% Year-on-Year

From January to September 2024, Turkey’s steel consumption fell by 4.2% compared to the same period in 2023, totaling 27.8 million tons. Despite this decline, the country’s steel production increased by 13.8% year-on-year, reaching 27.9 million tons. The Turkish steel industry continues to navigate market challenges, balancing production growth with fluctuating domestic demand.
