Chinese billet export prices have declined this week, with offers for 3sp 150mm billet for December shipment now at $460-470 per tonne FOB, down from $480 per tonne last week. Offers to Turkey have also decreased to $500 per tonne CFR. In Indonesia, Chinese-origin 5sp billets are priced at $493 per tonne CFR Jakarta. A trader noted that EAF mills are considering exports due to a weak Korean currency and a soft debar market. Meanwhile, a leading Indonesian mill raised its billet export price by $5 to $485 per tonne FOB, but demand remains low due to high pricing.
