In July, German scrap prices have remained mostly stable due to an unchanged domestic market and limited exports. Local market participants have noted that while some sources expect small increases next month amid hopes for a market revival, others foresee a stable market. In some parts of Germany, there were small increases this month of about €5/tonne for some grades. Nationwide average prices for old thick scrap have shown minimal fluctuations.
