The Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) has announced the groundbreaking for a large structural steel fabrication facility within the China-Egypt Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone (TEDA Suez) in Sokhna. The facility will be owned and operated by CSCEC Science and Industry (CSCEC Steel), a subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC).The new plant will be built on an area of 27,000 square meters and will have an annual production capacity of 140,000 tons of steel structures and 300 panels. The plant's products and services are planned to cater to construction projects in the European Union, Middle East and African markets.

This project, which is part of Sino-Egyptian cooperation, is expected to contribute significantly to regional economic development.
