Ukrainian ferroalloy producers exported 45,000 tonnes of product between January and May 2025, a sharp increase from just 6,670 tonnes during the same period in 2024. This rebound follows last year’s production halts at key facilities.
Export revenue rose to $49.9 million, up from $9.55 million a year earlier. The main buyers were Poland (13,530 tonnes), Algeria (10,340 tonnes), Turkey (9,920 tonnes), and Italy (6,370 tonnes).
However, May saw a 46.5% month-on-month drop in export volume to 6,040 tonnes—the lowest since December 2024. Revenue also fell 44.8% to $7.24 million. Algeria made no purchases in May, while Poland and Turkey significantly reduced their intake.
