Downstream flat steel prices in Europe declined in the week to June 25, driven by a seasonal demand lull and intensified competition from Asian imports.
In Northern Europe, cold-rolled coil (CRC) offers dropped to €660–670 per tonne ex-works, down from €685–690 the previous week. Import offers also softened, with Asian suppliers quoting €630–640 per tonne CFR.
Hot-dipped galvanized (HDG) coil prices followed a similar trend. Domestic offers fell to €670–690 per tonne ex-works, while import prices slipped to €690–700 per tonne CFR, compared to €700–740 the previous week.
Southern Europe mirrored this weakness. CRC deals were heard at €660–670 per tonne ex-works, and HDG offers declined to €680–690 per tonne ex-works. Import prices for CRC remained steady at €590–630 per tonne CFR.
