Hydnum Steel has entered into a strategic agreement with Thyssenkrupp Materials Processing Europe to supply up to 100,000 tonnes of decarbonized flat steel annually for an initial period of seven years. The steel will be produced at Hydnum's innovative flat steel plant in Puertollano, Spain, which is currently under construction.
This collaboration aims to drive the transition to a more sustainable steel industry, with Thyssenkrupp expanding its range of environmentally friendly products for sectors such as automotive, construction, and household appliances. Both companies are also exploring low-impact logistics solutions to further reduce emissions and enhance sustainability.
The partnership underscores the growing demand for clean steel and positions both Hydnum Steel and Thyssenkrupp as leaders in the industry's decarbonization efforts.
