Polish rebar and wire rod prices have seen a slight decline, despite attempts by mills to push for higher offers. Official offers for March-production rebar were reported at 2,700 zloty per tonne CPT, but some transactions occurred at lower levels, around 2,620-2,630 zloty per tonne CPT.
Similarly, wire rod prices have faced downward pressure, with offers ranging between 2,800-2,900 zloty per tonne CPT. However, trading activity remains subdued, and demand continues to be weak, limiting the success of price increases.
Market participants are closely monitoring the situation as mills navigate challenges in balancing production costs and market demand.
