EMSTEEL Expands Regional Collaboration with UAE-Oman Logistics Agreement

Emsteel Group has established strategic partnerships to enhance raw material transport and cross-border rail connectivity in the GCC, fostering economic collaboration between the UAE and Oman. These agreements emphasize a commitment to efficient and sustainable transportation of raw materials essential for EMSTEEL’s cement production, aligning with the UAE’s Operation 300bn strategy and Oman’s Vision 2040.

The primary agreement, signed with Hafeet Rail Infrastructure LLC, the region’s first cross-border rail network, outlines the collaboration between EMSTEEL and Hafeet Rail. Hafeet Rail will develop an integrated logistics solution to ensure the seamless transportation of limestone and red shale. EMSTEEL will operate the EMSTEEL Rail Transfer Facility in Al Ain, UAE, equipped with advanced railcar unloading stations and conveyor systems to integrate these raw materials into its cement production process.

The agreement secures the transport of up to 4.2 million tons of raw materials per year from Oman to the UAE, with an initial term of 15 years and an option to extend for another 15 years. This partnership ensures a cost-effective and sustainable supply chain for EMSTEEL and enhances Hafeet Rail's role in environmentally responsible industrial growth, reducing carbon emissions and promoting cross-border trade.

EMSTEEL has also formalized an agreement with Minerals Development Oman (MDO) to oversee the sourcing of quality industrial minerals, ensuring compliance with EMSTEEL’s standards. This project underscores Oman’s potential to harness its mineral resources for regional industrial development and economic growth.

Eng. Saeed Ghumran Al Remeithi, Group CEO of EMSTEEL, highlighted the significance of this agreement in ensuring a reliable and sustainable supply chain, reflecting the growing economic collaboration between the UAE and Oman. Eng. Mattar Al Badi, CEO of MDO, emphasized the collaboration’s role in strengthening regional partnerships and supporting sustainability initiatives through efficient logistics solutions.

EMSTEEL Group remains dedicated to delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions to meet the region’s industrial and construction needs, continuing to drive regional growth and economic collaboration.
